Wye River Winds is located off route 50 (just past the Outlets) in Queenstown, Maryland. We are located on 21 acres with Wye River Kennel. We have daily pasture turn out. Our new facility offers 13 rubber matted 12 x 12 stalls, with hot and cold water washroom, tack room and feed room. All isle ways are cement floors. We also have 7 stall shed row barn.
We use sawdust for bedding our stalls. We feed; hay (alfalfa) and Reliance 12 Textured twice a day. Stalls are also picked out twice a day. One saddle rack and one shelf per horse are provided in our tack room. More information is provided on our Contract.

Trainer and owner, David Walbert:
David grew up in Queen Anne's County as a member of the Pony Express 4-H club. In 1986 David earned the MD State Championship in Showmanship, and went on to become the MD state horse judging champion. Since that time, David has been breeding, raising, training and showing at the regional, national, and world championships.
He has been raising Appaloosas since the age of 19 and now specializes in all around performance horses. David has been the Head Coach for Washington College since 2007. He is also the Western Coach for the team, which placed High Point for the region in 2009, and Reserve High Point for the region in 2008.
David also coaches and trains many youth and amateurs in the area. He enjoys trailering kids and horses to regional and local shows as well as the Appaloosa Youth World Championships in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. David provides instruction in showmanship, equitation, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, trail and over fences.
