Policies/FAQ

• All pets must be in good general health to board and play at Wye River Kennel. No pets exhibiting signs of serious illness, pets with contagious viruses or pets with any other potentially transferable diseases/sicknesses will be accepted.
  
  
• For pet safety reasons, Wye River Kennel does not allow pets from different families to be boarded in the same enclosure.
  
  
• For the safety of all pets and visitors, customer's pets are required to be on leash and under control (or in a carrier) at all times while on the property.
  
  
• We provide Purina® Dog Chow premium food for all canine guest and they love it! We welcome owner provided food; however, it must be prepackaged, individually portioned and labeled per meal.
  
  
• We will need an emergency contact while you are away. This is a person we can easily get in touch with to make any decisions regarding your pet's health during the boarding visit.
  
  
• In addition, we will need a phone number where we can reach you, the pet owner, while you are away.
  
  
• All prescription medications and supplements should be provided in their original containers. We will follow the instructions as prescribed by the veterinarian. Prescription medication should NOT be included/mixed in pre-packaged food.
  
  
• All pets staying at Wye River Kennel should be on a flea/tick preventative program. If your pet is not, we may require a pre-admission flea/tick examination. This service can be performed by one of our groomers for a standard fee; however, an advance appointment is absolutely necessary as the groomers work on an appointment only basis. Your veterinarian can help you choose a program to eliminate fleas.
  
  
• We highly recommend a bath and/or grooming before your pet's departure from our kennel due to the amount of play time everyone receives. Please inquire about our bathing and grooming services.
